Joker 2: Folie À Deux is a dynamic, split-portrait that fuses the chaotic identities of Joker and Harley Quinn into a single fractured face. Created in 2023, a year before the film’s official release, Austin Call (Duhrivative) anticipates the duality at the heart of the sequel—exploring the symbiotic madness that defines these two iconic figures.

Through layered collage, jagged oil pastel strokes, textured acrylic, and bold charcoal lines, the 36 x 48-inch canvas slices the composition in half: one side radiating the Joker’s sinister chaos, the other pulsing with Harley Quinn’s unhinged vibrancy. Deep reds clash with electric blues, while stark whites and blacks carve sharp contrasts, embodying the tension and twisted harmony between the two.

The artwork doesn’t aim to mirror cinematic accuracy but instead dives into the psychological undercurrents of obsession, love, and madness that tie the characters together. The result is a raw, deconstructed portrait that feels both timeless and unsettling.

This unique mixed media artwork is signed, dated, and stands as both a prelude to the film and a standalone reflection on duality, chaos, and identity.
